‘Tis almost the season and the Secret Santas are starting to pop up once again. This year I have signed up for two, one with a Facebook group Game Trader and the other on Reddit.
I’m sure you’re all familiar with Secret Santa but just in case, Secret Santa is where a group of people, often employees within a company or members of a community/guild all have assigned members or employees that they have to give a gift to. The fun lies in the mystery or secret of the gift-giver.
My gifts from Game Trader arrived this morning!
My Secret Santa was far too generous! The RGM-79FP GM Striker is a ground based, close-quarters Mobile Suit from the manga series Mobile Suit Gundam: We’re Federation Hooligans.
Building an HG kit again after the recent spree of RG was a much deserved break and allowed me to practice on some different assembly and sanding techniques.
The Striker also looks great assembled! The Twin Beam Spear is also rather striking and unique looking.
Now that this guy is assembled, I’m planning to use this finished kit to practice panel lining and maybe even some painting…
So, if your place of employment or gaming guild suggest a secret santa. I say, go for it! It was great fun.
